I quoted something from Grey's Anatomy before. Here I go again with something worth pondering.
"You're unmotivated. You're careless, selfish, distracted. And pretty much the people in this hospital I would least trust with my life. But that's how it's supposed to be. You're interns, you're babies. And you are all lucky to be here. We're all lucky because we can save lives. Everyday we get to save lives. That's what we do. That's our job. And it's not something a lot of people get to do."(And then, Dr. Steven's continues by teaching them how they can learn from their mistake and improve as doctors)
Sometimes it's hard to bank on people who don't show appreciation for what they do. Or how lucky they even are to be on that spot. But sometimes, you have to go one and hope that they learn along the way and be the person you invested on, and more-- in the first place.
